Subject: French as a Second Language

How long have you been teaching?: 13 years

What other schools have you been at?: A few years of occasional teaching and long terms. A short stint at Holy Names. Almost 7 years here at St. Joseph's!

What are some things you like about teaching at St. Josephs?: I love our dedicated staff and our diverse student body. St. Joseph's staff and students are  always ready to demonstrate their generosity and school spirit whether it may be within our own school community or the local community. GO LASERS!

What inspired you to go into teaching?: I decided to go into teaching because I wanted to continue to build upon and share my passion for foreign languages with future learners. I wanted to inspire students to see the value and importance of learning another language.
Why did you choose to teach your specific subject?: I love learning about diverse cultures, traditions and communicating in multiple languages. Learning a foreign language, such as French, truly opens a door to many learning opportunities and a world of possibilities. This is an area that I am genuinely enthusiastic about and now I get to live out these cultural experiences daily with my students here at St. Joseph's. Plus, I like to conjugate verbs. HA! :o) Go Laser French!

Fun facts about you?: Studied French Language and Literature here at the University of Windsor. 

I enjoy yoga, biking and cooking.
