What are some things you like about teaching at St. Josephs?
We have so many passionate staff and students which makes for consistently interesting and exciting school days! The energy of the school makes it the best in the city!

What inspired you to go into teaching?
I was lucky to know what I wanted to do for my career when I was quite young. I knew I wanted to help inspire future generations but also learn everyday from my students. Helping students achieve their dreams and change the world for the better is and will always be my goal!

Why did you choose your specific subject?
Literature allows us to both learn about ourselves as individuals but also become more empathetic and understanding of others. Words are powerful and knowing how to interpret and use them is important for our everyday lives. History allows us to uncover how we arrived in our current moment and also change our collective future for a more equitable and just society. Studying the past also lets us uncover accomplishments of historically marginalized communities around the world.

I have visited 27 countries (taught in 3), I have completed a marathon, and I enjoy surfing, running, biking, and playing basketball.
