Welcome to Our New Web Site

Welcome to Our New Site

Web site Team

Over the last several months, our web team has been developing what we are certain will be a much more user-friendly web experience for our students, their families, our staff, and all of our community stakeholders.

Besides having a much cleaner and more modern look, there are a number of new features that include:

Mobile Friendliness

Given that the vast majority of users will be viewing our site on smart phones or tablets, we wanted to make sure that it would scale down for those devices. So if you aren't viewing the site on one of them now, check it out and let us know what you think.

Better Search Engine

When we created the new site, we did some much-need reorganizing, so everything may not be exactly where you were used to finding it. If you're having trouble finding anything, just click on the little magnifying glass in the top right corner and a large box will pop up, along with some of the most commonly searched items.

New Alert System

In case of emergencies like severe weather, school closings, and bus cancellations, we can now alert you via our web site. In those instances, you'll see a large, bright red bar across the entire top width of the site.

More Prominent Calendar

We know how important proper planning is for our stakeholders. Our new board-wide calendar is now featured on the main page of the site, and includes all the important events and dates people across the system need to know quickly: PA days, holidays, Board meetings, religious observances, etc. If you think we're missing something, be sure to let us know!

Section Devoted to Our Faith

We're a Catholic School Board and faith is an essential component of everything we do, yet many of our faith-based information and resources were spread across various pages of our old site. We've consolidated all that material on one page, which can be found easily from the main menu, under the heading Our Faith

New to Grade 9 Section

Making the transition from elementary to high school can be challenging, but we're making it a little simpler for students and their parents by devoting an area of the web site to providing all of the information and resources they might need to help plan their secondary experience. It's called Getting Ready for Grade 9 and can be found under the Students tab in the main menu.

Students With Special Needs Page

We're an inclusive Board that strives to make sure every student, regardless of their level of ability, is properly cared for and accommodated so they can be successful. To accomplish that goal, we've created an area of our site where parents of students who may need support can find all the information they need. It can be found under the Programs tab in our main menu.

In closing, we hope you find our new site much easier to navigate, and that it contains all of the content you might need. If you'd like to provide us with some feedback, feel free to drop us a note!

Sincerely,

The Web Re-Design Team
